A Solaris is designed to be sailed by one person — even the larger models, you sail yourself. Still, an extra pair of hands aboard is sometimes simply welcome: when berthing in a busy harbour, or precisely to give yourself time and space for the people you bring along — your partner on a long passage, children in the cabin, friends on deck. Thanks to a smart deck layout, a Solaris sails with the smallest possible crew: those who come aboard are guests, not deckhands. That's the distinction of this yard: a yacht built to be sailed alone, but never to feel alone.
Solaris Yachts has been building sailing yachts in Aquileia, northern Italy, since the 1970s. Every boat in the range comes from that one yard, where engineers, designers and craftsmen work side by side on each hull.
The range is built around two families. The Flush Deck models — the 40 through to the updated 74 — are sleek, light and modern in profile. A low silhouette, maximum deck space, and an open feeling that you genuinely sense on the water. The Raised Saloon models, from the 64RS to the 111RS superyacht, prioritise comfort and space both above and below decks — without surrendering a millimetre of performance.

Frequently asked questions about Solaris
What is the difference between Flush Deck and Raised Saloon? Flush Deck models (40 through 74) have a fully flush, low deck profile — a clean silhouette, a lighter boat and maximum performance. Raised Saloon models (64RS through 111RS) feature a slightly elevated saloon that brings more natural light, more headroom and better views from below — without any sacrifice in performance. Both families are built at the same yard in Aquileia and share the same DNA. The choice is a matter of how you use the boat.
Which Solaris model sells best? The Solaris 50. It combines three cabins, two heads and 15.50 metres of performance with the manageability a couple needs to sail together.
